*RARE BLUE* Megalodon Shark Tooth Fossil

$215.00

Description

This fossilised Megalodon tooth is in near perfect condition. There is a small chip at the very tip and a couple of nicks on the side; as the photos show. What makes this tooth unique is its dark blue enamel. It contrasts brilliantly with the beige gum and is an uncommon hue; especially for teeth from Savannah River. This fossil would make a great addition to a collection or a unique gift.

This tooth is 100% genuine with no repairs or restorations and was measured with a calliper to ensure accuracy.

This Megalodon tooth is 15.9 to 2.6 million years old. Megalodon sharks swam the prehistoric seas during the middle Miocene to the late Pliocene epochs of the Cenozioc Era. This shark was the largest predatory marine creature to ever swim the Earth’s oceans, vastly outweighing both the modern Great White Shark and ancient marine reptiles such as Plesiosaurs and Pliosaurs. Megalodon could grow to more than 60 feet and weighed 100 hundred tons.
